1.1. Commercial air transport aircraft operating in Brazil must adhere to the provisions of ICAO Annex 6 – Operation of Aircraft, in its Chapter 6 (Aeroplane Instruments and Equipment) and Chapter 7 (Aeroplane Communication and Navigation Equipment). Aircrafts registered in Brazil must also comply with what is established in the National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) rules relating to the matter.
Aircraft envolving within the ATLÂNTICO FIR must have suitable airbone radio communication and eletronic equipment in use capable of conducting two-way communication (HF/RTF) and to provide the pilot with the information nedded to fly in any point of the route within the referred airspace (ATLÂNTICO FIR).
NOTE:
Aircraft operating in the ATLÂNTICO FIR departing from the continent originating from and/or destined to offshore platforms, as well as those operating between these platforms will be exempt from the above normative instruction.
